7 Days Uganda Wildlife Experience Details

Itineraries

Day 1

Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park

After having our breakfast in Kampala on this first day of your 7 days Uganda safari, you will be met by a representative and tour guide from our Wild Destinations Tours. we shall embark on a 6 hour Journey to Kibale Forest National Park in a district called Fort Portal. We shall route through the beautiful scenery of Mubende and have our lunch in Fort Portal then connect to the famous crater area to view the beautiful scene. We shall also have a cultural experience around this same area while visiting the historic caves in this region. After we shall proceed to our place of stay in Kibale Forest National Park and sleep while hearing the beautiful sound of birds as we prepare for two exciting activities the following day of this 7 days safari in Uganda.

Day 2

Chimp Walk and Swamp Walk in Kibale Forest National Park

While in Kibale Forest National Park, we shall have two exciting activities on the second day of our 7 days Uganda safari. We shall have a Chimp Walk in the morning then a Swamp Walk in the afternoon. The Chimp walk activity will also give you a chance to 10 other primates and have a good view of various species of birds and butterflies in the region. We shall return at our place of accommodation for lunch after the chimp walk activity then prepare for another exciting activity in the afternoon. From 2:00PM, we shall have a swamp walk along the Bigodi Walk, a home to one of the community based projects in the region. After this activity we shall return and relax at our place of accommodation.

Day 3

To Queen Elizabeth National Park

On the 3rd day of this 7 days Uganda safari, we set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park through fort portal where we should reach by lunch time. The journey should take approximately 5 hours. We shall have lunch from the place of accommodation then organize for an afternoon boat ride to Kazinga Channel. At around 2, we shall enjoy a 2 hour boat ride on the Kazinga channel as we view the wildlife in the region. This cruise is one of the activities that will produce stunning photographs implicating you should pull out your camera and take as many as you can. It combines two activities in one, bird watching and game viewing. After the cruise we shall return to our place of stay and relax as we prepare for the next day activity.

Day 4

To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After having our breakfast at our place of stay on the fourth day of this 7 days Uganda tour, we shall transfer to the biggest habitat of Mountain Gorillas in Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. While we take on the 8 hours journey, we shall have a good scenic view of several mountains, steep hills and water-bodies not forgetting the beautiful cultivation of terraces plus the tropical and Bamboo forests. Upon arrival at our place of stay, we shall simply rest and prepare for the Gorilla Trekking activity the following day.

Day 5

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On the 5th day of your 7 days Uganda safari tour is when we carry out the most exciting of the activities in the itinerary, Gorilla Tracking. We shall meet at a start point not later than 7:30 AM for briefing before we embark on the adventure. Our guides will tell you all the precautions to take whilst tracking Gorillas but in case you feel they have left out something, feel free to ask questions. Gorilla Tracking is a very physical activity that requires you to be extremely fit. The activity may take between 3 – 8 hours depending on how long you intend to prolong it. We should be at the starting point not later than 7:00PM in the evening.

Day 6

To Lake Mburo National Park

We shall travel to Lake Mburo National Park on the 6th day on this 7 days safari to Uganda. Whilst on the journey, we shall stop at Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara District and have a delicious lunch made of local cuisines. The journey should take us approximately 5 hours. We shall reach in the afternoon and either do some game viewing or a normal cultural walk in the park. The game viewing activity is a chance for you to see the beautiful wildlife of Zebras and Impalas plus more mammals and birds in Lake Mburo National Park. After any of the activities we shall return to out place of accommodation for a rest.

Day 7

Lake Mburo National Park – Kampala

This is the last day of our 7 days Uganda safari holiday. It’s the day we return to Kampala but we shall carry out an early morning game drive and have a late breakfast before embarking on our journey to Kampala. Whilst travelling to Kampala, we shall stop at the Equator for a lunch break and take some memorable photographs. The Equator divides the Northern and Southern Hemispheres of the world so feel free to take photographs with both legs on separate hemispheres. After lunch and photo-shoots, we shall proceed with our journey straight to Kampala and get dropped at the airport for departure in case you are departing on the same day. It you are departing the following day you have to pay an extra fee for accommodation of the night.
